"clerk is busy"?

spoiler alert...

I got Jimmy to my island the shady visitor, first time I bought some stuff from him and it was fine. second time he didn't have the gold paint so I bought nothing. third time, he was missing and all I got was "clerk is busy". not sure if this is an intended game mechanic or a bug? I've never seen this in any other shop.

note: the second and third time Jimmy came to my island, it happened to rain two days in a row, and his boat was in the same location those two days. dunno if that has anything to do with it.

yeah this is a known issue with him, i think if you forget to un highlight his position, on the second consistant rainy day you will get the Clerk is busy.. I had exactly the same thing happen and this was someones reply to me.. and I had done exactly that.. Now I make sure each time to un highlight him after visiting.
