How to use Tractor

I commissioned this Tractor a while ago and I am not sure how this works. I also heard somewhere that I can install different equipment like for harvesting or softening the soil and planting seeds. But I can't find out how to craft / commission the different equipment. Frank isn't giving me more stuffs to commission after unlocking the Tractor. I have tried giving Frank the entire collection of CDs, like a hundred of them, but still no luck. Please help

you need more licenses to get the other attachments. It can till soil with one, plant seeds with another (it plants the ones in your active tool belt slot) and it can harvest with the last one. You unlock them with agriculture vehicle licenses. Check with fletch.

what is a good extent of a field worked on with a tractor ?

i started a new save specifically for intense farming & would like to know in advance how big i should plan the fields.

also
is there a mechanized way to collect flowers from the Bottle Brush bushes ? & what's with fruit trees, does the tractor help with harvesting from those ?

No, it doesn't harvest bottle brush or fruit trees. And as far as the field goes, as big as you can keep watered. You can put your water tanks 6 tiles down I think it is and then you can drive straight over them.

Thank you for replying I have maxed out all the Licenses, also the irrigation one. But I dont know where to get those tractor attachments. Could you tell me?

I edited my original post. You need agriculture vehicle licenses. Farming Licence 3, Vehicle license 2, and Irrigation Licence 2 for agriculture vehicle license to come available

They are pre-installed. Sit in your tractor and click your right mouse button.

This has been the go to farm pattern on the dinkum Discord and Reddit https://i.imgur.com/oqgeUv2.png

It's efficient and pretty.

It's as 26x26, larger if you want a walk way around the field and fences.

Here's what it looks like in practice. I added cement walkway around it, then a line of blackwood trees, then a fence. I have one section separately for things that grow on stakes as you can't harvest via tractor the same way.

No current way to utilize a tractor to harvest bottle or wattle yet.

Get on the tractor and press X or A. I forget which button (for xbox controller) one of them, I think A, switches and X makes it perform the action, unless I got them backwards. Haven't played in a while. As one person above said, right mouse button should do it too.

no problem. If you have a really large piece of land, you could scale this to 4 of those 26x26 squares. That is going to take a lot of quartz though for sprinklers.
