Pickup chickens?
I am wanting to move the chicken pen to another area, but how do i move the chickens without them getting killed waiting to wait for them to walk?

buy a chicken whistle for Irwin, keep him closed in till you make the new enclosure, then use the whistle to call the chicken too you.. Don't use gates as other NPC's will feed your animals for you sometimes but they leave the gates open and let them escape :(

Needed this, my first chicken did a runner. Had to reload and learn from the lesson of enclose them before you release them LOL

Great that the game explains this is an option ...sarcasm...

I moved my coops across the town. i had built the new enclosure first and then in the morning moved the coops, silo and feeders and used the chook whistle and guitar to make them follow me. its was like herding cats tbh but i got there in the end. i noticed that they wouldn't go down brick steps off a bridge exit until i deleted them. also they will just sleep where they are when 4:30-5pm comes so i stuck down a bedroll next to them to continue on first thing in the morning. and have the gate open to the new area and chances are they will look to sleep or feed in there.
this was herding through my town which was fenced along the perimeter so im not sure what going cross country might be like tho.
pheeps and vombats are worse to herd lol

I’m wondering the same thing. I only have two chickens and tried capturing them with traps. I’m moving to a new location, but the problem is that I need to cross a river, and I’m pretty sure they won’t make it. It feels a bit excessive to build a bridge just for that. What worries me the most, though, are the dogs and crocos.
