Names - font thing?

Just curious about the way character and island names appear in game. I get alternating capitals and small letters, so for instance, Hello turns into HeLlO

Is this just the way it is? Other characters have names like Fletch, which do not follow this convention.

Could you provide some screenshots? this doesn't sound intentional, maybe compare your experience to some videos on youtube to confirm if this is an unintended bug.
