Melvin Won't Go Into Store?

Melvin is just standing in front of his shop, not daring to enter. Is there a fix? Is this a known bug? Even though it's during the hours of operation, if I enter the store the game says it's "closed" because he's not in it...so the store is useless.

he doesn't work Tuesdays and Thursdays - Fyi, also i have a few times when john or the banker isn't in their stores but i talk to them outside, while its their working hours and am still able t o bank, or sell to John.

Like I said, I can go inside-so the store isn't closed. He just won't go inside

Do you have something blocking the entrance as this can cause issues?

I had this issue with clover when I parked my motor bike near the entrance of her shop until I moved it.

Or are they stuck somewhere as your city layout may be causing issues with their pathing?

Clover and Melvin won't go up stairs, that was my issue. The layout is the same for every single store, (the store is on a hill with stairs leading to the entrance) but for some reason they are the only two shop keepers that refuse to walk up the stairs and into their shop.
