"You're stopping me from playing a game I love and have bought?? "thread
Maybe something this user says there, will be useful to you.
Don't go crazy checking your mods. More users are commenting that if you have mods, your game will now either not launch or crash immediately. Krafton bans any kind of mod and requires you to report any exploits or glitches you discover, while keeping the right to revoke your license if you don't.
They even give instructions on how you must uninstall all your mods and Bepinex, if you want to play Dinkum.
The general solution is to remove the mod files to see if the game itself is broken and if it runs normally, add back the mods one at a time.
Krafton's terms of use are very clear. Mods are now banned. If you're caught using mods, your license can be revoked.
Sigh. Dinkum works with certain mods. I swear you resemble Pravda. And every game will have a chance to break mods with updates. This isn't a dinkum only thing. It's literally a software thing.
Meh. That TOS you are referring to has subsections that also prohibits the use of software to give you an advantage over other players. Some lazy lawyer grabbed the PUBG TOS and reused it not understanding the game. I particularly found V to be hilarious as it's a prohibition on software that interrupts server communications. This game doesn't have a central server to interrupt or intercept packets to and from 🤣. Krafton literally couldn't be bothered to spend more than 2 minutes on a reused tos.
Krafton is also in charge of the discord. Where the modding section is running strong. 😂
You obviously are angry and seemingly like being angry. But when you calm down, if you ever do, you should take a step back and reflect.
How can you SWEAR that I resemble a newspaper? Hey, I'm a human being, I'm not made of paper. Just like the thing about being angry and liking it.
Since you don't know me (you even think I'm a newspaper, lol) what makes you assume I'm angry?. The OP is asking a question that has already been asked and answered more than once in recent Dinkum threads.
Since I have that information, I've given it to him. And Krafton's terms of use are what they are. I'm not the author.
Not even of the answer. Look closely and you'll see that I'm citing the source: "Stray". That's not me.
And the thread where he answers: "You're stopping me from playing a game I love and have bought??" How is this, being angry?
You sure seem angry. The overall tone of your entire post is one of anger. With all those sighs, mehs, and lazy lawyers. Please don't kill the messenger.
FYI, I am as happy as a clam at high tide.
The whole message is incorrect.
About mods, you can check Dinkum's official Discord—the modding section is still active. Although some modders have stopped updating their mods due to other commitments (IRL or simply not playing anymore), a few are still working. After each game update, some mods may break, which is common in any game.
If mods were disallowed, the entire modding section would be deleted. For now, this is not the case, and it has never even been mentioned as of today.
I'm not saying that the future is white or light green. I'm just saying what's happening to people right now.
I give my word of honor that I'm not angry. I couldn't care less.
I'm just saying what I see users who are having this problem are saying. If we're going to start with ugh, sigh, lazy lawyers, it won't be that bad...
As I say, I can't predict the future. I'm just keeping an eye on the present.
You may want to review your post history. You seem unaware of what Pravda covers. Maybe spend some time looking how the USSR used it.
Krafton's EULA is the same for multiple games. Including ones that it ironically promotes as being pro-mod. Which suggests that the right hand is unaware of the left hand's existence. Krafton games, Thunder Tier One and inZOI are heavily promoted as mod friendly and yet have virtually identical EULA restrictions in their paragraph 3. Second, the EULA does not stop them from playing the game. What would, would be something like EA pulling servers on The Simpsons: Tapped Out. That change literally prevented people from playing.
And how do you get angry from my tone? How many people sigh or meh when angry? You should work on your emotional IQ.
This happens after every major update because mods can cause problems. Again, this is an industry wide problem. I've been here since near the beginning. When did you start playing? Most of the issues tend to stem from one mod in particular, the craft from storage. I've helped dozens of people troubleshoot that.

Then they need to update their policies to match their actions. There is absolutely a section in their policies that does not allow certain mods to be used. They are not specific enough on those mods. Just because they have the mod community on the discord means nothing when it's in their policy and if you do something they don't like in the game, they can turn around and go after you. Vague rules and policies are there to protect the company from whatever they want at any time.
Good lord that is a lot of mods. 👀
Glad you solved your problem!
