It's not an auto-save if you didn't sleep. It will not be saved. For example, if you're playing with a friend coop and he spent all his money in a deed or something then left then rejoined guess what. He will have all his money back and you will get the deeds paid. It's kinda weird also if he/she played and the server kicked him/her for some reason maybe an internet connection or anything. He/she will lose all the progress. What I meant by auto-save is a way that can sync your gameplay every 10 seconds without the need of sleeping to be saved.
I having any other save occur would potentially be disastrous for people losing all their safe data.
Imagine being online for 5 minutes and having some troll come to store everything and then it auto saved, not giving you the opportunity to just undo that one day
They could add a feature that saves every day saved in a file in your Documents folder and you can restore any day you want.
and at the same time, adding the sync save option.
Imagine playing with four of your friends' coops and if they got disconnected, all their progress would be gone and there would be nothing to do to recover it.
But that's not the same as auto-save. Currently, as you know, you have to go all the way back home (or to a sleeping bag you stowed in the woods) and sleep and wake up the next day. What if you don't want to change days and just want to take a break? Also, when you wake up, regardless of where your sleeping bag was that you slept in, you are back at your house.
A simple, standard, Save feature is not a big or unreasonable request.
I always wake up where the bag was but I just have the one bag. I carry it and sleep wherever. Maybe there's a glitch if you have two that makes you wake up at the first and not the one you used. Try only having one down at a time.
