Dedicated Servers - Server Hosting

This may be a dumb question but I was wondering whether we would be getting dedicated servers?

I have been playing this game with a buddy of mine but as of late we are often busy and our schedules don't line up very well. We have been playing on his world but I would like to rent a dedicated server so we can both hop on at any time so we can consistently get what we would like done without me having to wait for him to be online.

This would allow people to contribute to the game progress at their own schedule. I play with people across 12 hours of timezones, so having some friends able to join is a rare event.

I would love to see dedicated servers too, but I'd imagine it would be a huge undertaking to do so. The dev plans to support mods better in future though, so maybe someone can make one to make a dedicated server (or maybe someone can already make one perhaps?)
