WHY Cant i pick up my CHOOK!?

i padi 5000 for it, i cant pick it up, and carry it back?
What kind of BS is this?
Every dingo just charges at it, its so far from the house, this makes no sense

OMG! I went through this too! Finally she fell asleep and then I build a fence around her and there's my coop now.

A chicken when loose will wander where it wants to go, and will run from humans generally too, so kind of realistic. I love how this game has some realism to it.

That the dingos are pests once you start having farm animals is cool too, as until then they are no threat at all (if anything they keep you safer)

Given that I now have a task to take a photo of a Chook and a jellyfish, am I supposed to destroy my fence and whistle the chook out to the ocean somewhere? Do you think she will swim?
