I'll give it a shot.
I think you may have misread the initial post. I'm asking what a specific item is, not what Bottle Brush are. There are two different items, Bottled Brush and Bottle Brush. (Bottle vs Bottled)
I had an NPC asking for Bottled Brush, when I tried to give him Bottle Brush I realized they were two different items. What the guy said about the keg makes sense, it's probably word play.
Hopefully you have had luck finding the answer since posting, I just know for a fact you can stick the bottle brush flowers in a keg, which was the reason for my suggestion (for that play on words e.g. "bottled" bottle brush) ;-) Same as you can with wattle flowers, and jelly fish jelly (everything has to be in stacks of 10). I just haven't gotten to build my own keg yet to try it myself and don't know the names of the beverages/brews it splits out when you put those items in.
