End of Day?
Forgive me if this was mentioned or asked already - I tried searching previous discussions but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Is there a permanent end of the day time - similar to Stardew Valley? I just began exploring the mines and I keep worrying about staying there too late and passing out. I've passed out from low health and low stamina before - but never because it was "too late." And quite frankly, I don't want to risk losing money, and the strength of all of my tools just to test it out.
How late can you stay up before your character passes out? Or can you just stay up all night?
Thanks everyone!

The time of day breaks down as follows:
Morning 7am - 11am.
Afternoon 11am - 6pm.
Evening 6pm - midnight.
LATE at/after midnight, until save or exit.

You can stay up as late as you want, the day won't "end" until you go to sleep or pass out.

To avoid passing out, don't let your health or stamina drop to zero. After you get a few days in, you'll be able to cook over a campfire/BBQ any fruits you find. Banana's and Cactus flesh are good starting out.

then the day is over you get a stamina debuff and the time just says late you dont have to go to bed i normally use this time to cook food melt ore etc.

just keep in mind if you use this time to mine rocks/ore/trees you will consume alot more food

and if you messup and knocks yourself out by depleting your stamina your tool will lose some durability

But what time is the day considered "over"? I'm assuming I can't just stay up all night til 7am right?

Thank you so much! I was afraid all of this time of passing out so I kept going to bed super early - like 8-9 out of fear of passing out because of time.
Thank you for your help!

Also just to add - I just scrolled through your guide you shared and it's amazing! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm pretty far along in the game now (just been going to sleep early out of fear thinking I was going to pass out if I stayed up too late..lol) but your guide is extremely helpful!

Thanks again!

You can because once the time changes to LATE, there is no time. It will never be 7 am. Play for 16 hours straight if you want to. As long as you don't pass out due to stamina loss, it will stay LATE forever. That's when I do all my crafting and cooking, anything that doesn't require stamina. But be aware that your game doesn't save until you sleep.

To avoid using up your good foods when up late, gather cactus figs as they are extremely numerous and cook them. They cook fast and restore a small bit of stamina. You should easily be able to have hundreds of them at any time. Since your stamina bar gets shrunk down to almost nothing and even just a single action that drains any stamina like using a tool or falling into water deep enough to swim for just a moment will make you start moving slowly, a cooked cactus fig will get you back to full movement speed so you can run around crafting, cooking, smelting, talking, placing down items like furniture and floor tiles and such.
