Wild Seeds??

Hey all, so I keep getting a daily quest saying 'plant wild seeds', but I have no idea what they are. Does anyone know? :)

If you have farming you can craft a scythe and harvest wild grass for seeds, if not anything hitting the grass tufts will give you a chance to nab seeds.

Wild seeds includes grass seeds, tropical grass seeds, bush seeds, and more. They are basically the seeds you find while clearing land. They shouldn't be too hard to find, and it should be an easy quest to complete. If you are early game and lack a scythe, you can chop things with other tools.

In order for you to get credit towards the milestone, you can't 'plant' the grass seeds like you would a tree seed (where you dig a tile, place a seed, then cover the seed with the tile you dug). You just hold or equip the grass seed and click the left mouse button (if using keyboard/mouse) facing a tile. It will plant the grass seed but not with visible blades of grass, it just turns the top of the tile to the color of the grass seed you planted. A regular grass seed looks yellow-green, the fir grass seed turns the tile a darker green color, etc. I think some people were noticing that you don't receive credit towards the milestone when you 'plant' grass seeds like you do tree seeds. But planting grass versus trees is a different process in the game.

Oh wow. Thanks for your explanation sassynator19! I tried planting the grass seeds just like the tree seeds and did not meet the milestone. I too thought I was using the wrong kinds of seeds for Wild Seeds. Now I know what I did wrong. Thank You!

And another thanks. Like Firefly i was trying to plant grass like you would with a tree. I have been able to complete the task by planting fern and bush seeds by burying them, so i guess it's only the grasses that use the right click method.
