Foods for different activities?
What sort of early game foods should I be prioritising for different activities. I break one rock and I'm done for a while. What's best way to manage stamina?

very early on, i rely on cooked bush limes. then i unlock brewing as soon as possible because wattle tea is best for mining and logging, while jams help a lot with stamina - i usually do lime jams for general stamina needs. the key is to eat before the activity.
i suggest planting an orchard for your fruit needs. and note that bottle brush tea and apple jam are best for health.
eventually wattle and bottle brush brew will be better than tea but the tea will take you a long way.

For early going... The limes work. afterwards, explore and get all the fruit. Mark out a area for a fruit grove. plant fruit tree's. per tree harvest... apples 4, lime and qudong 3, banana 2.

15 trees apple (60 fruit) 30 trees banana (60 fruit) lime and qudong 20 trees each (60 each fruit) Get the food table and make 30 fruit bowls. (need about 3 per day) Have one up at all times.. more than enough energy regen for most day to day stam activities and as far as it goes is cheap and doesn't require unlocking anything but the cooking table.

I'll usually get the fishing rod as early as possible and eat cooked fish.
I'll also cook any piece of meat I find from animals fighting each other, and cook it.

Fruits early game is great. As well as fish meat.
Later i found in fall that gatheting mushrooms has a good soup that i mostly use when hunting or mining.
