Not sure if Silo is working
I have a silo that is in the pen with ym chickens and while they are still producing eggs, I never see food in the feeders. Is the silo working?

Is there food in the silo? is it going down? animals eat early in the morning and you may be just viewing them after they ate.

Can always check the journal and see the tab for animals - if you click on one of them you get more details with a tick box showing - shelter, eat, pet

Animals eat at 8 am every morning (or when the chunk is loaded in)

If you think the food trays are not filling up, can always pick them back up and place them back down. Make sure they are in range of the silo.

I always have food in the feeders anytime of day.

You have more feeders than animals though right? Animals only eat once and Vombats will eat grass. So if you have more feeders than animals or a mix of animals including vombats with grass tufts growing in their pen, the feeders should retain some feed as they're not being eaten out of.

Right now all I have is chickens, (havent been offered the others yet but they have a pen) The silo has 50 food in it. There is no grass on the ground and I have more feeders than chicks. The feeders seem to stay empty but chickens are still producing eggs. I have no idea if they are getting food or not

you could test this by getting a sleeping bag from Fletch, sleeping in the animal area and then see if the feeders are full right when you wake up.

you could go look in the animal tab you can find out if they ate, have house, or been petted. if all 3 boxes are checked they are good.

I thought the same thing sooo I took my sleeping bag to the pens and stayed outside for the night. At first light I noticed that the feeders had indeed been filled. Just have to be early
