Is multiplayer worth it?
I have a few friends who are interested but I know they won't play solo. Is multiplayer worth it with this game? I saw a few negative comments on it so figured i'd ask here

yes. but don't play in open MP otherwise you will end up griefed. but you can host & your friends participate or viceversa. MP is up to 4 players.

You can do what you want and help out others. It's pretty much everything you could hope for in sharing the experience. The only catch is the story missions will only work for the host.

You can't progress on your own personal quest when playing with someone else. I think you should maybe wait until they come out with better multiplayer

Hi Kinianina,
I just curious, so what is the difference between the host and the other player?? I try too read some thread and it say that the difference for the other player that not host is only that they story is not being processed, cmiiw.
so can i build a same island with my gf? (its okay if we should online together to play it)
i really want it to be like stardew that both can do everything they want, but if the difference only in the story i think i can understand it hahaha

sorry for my long reply haha

When you see these terms, what it means is there are no online servers for you to play with. One person, the host, has the game, and the other player connects to it to play with their world. The host is the one whose world is active. They can both play together, but they are the only one whose world is progressing. The other character can save items and level up the same as the host.

So yes, it's like Stardew. In that game also, one person has the world and save game and the other connects to it. Pretty sure the second player cannot play the world on their own. It always has to be the same host. If the other player hosts, you'll connect to another person's computer and save games.

It's actually better than sdv in that your character can then go to other islands with progression still happening.

Sdv limits each character to that map. So in dinkum if you could really level up a character to very high gear, cosmetics, and skill levels and then go exploring all your friends' islands.

I wish I could take my SDV character and go into multiplayer elsewhere, but sadly no

I love coop games, and this is a really great coop game.
If your friend doesent have his own iland he cant build things on your iland, because your friend must learn it before.
My girlfriend and me love this game, we work together on our iland and we going for fighting, mining and exploring.
Your friend can bring his own stuff to your iland, build things, and your friend can use your bank, otherwise your friend lost money if he loose.
