How do I get the beach blankets and umbrella stuff? Also the tree and lights etc? Been away for a while and not sure where to start.

You need to find santa claus called Nick. He is avaiable during sunny days and you can see question mark on the map. He can create many things for you if you will bring him cheries and other stuff like wood, clothes etc. Cheries are new and you can get them by traping new white cangaroos with christmas hat and puting them to the animal point. You will get 3 cheries for every delivered cangaroo.
You can also plant cheries like every other fruit.
And check community board for new quests with flying cangaroo treasures.

Check your bulletin board daily for a jackaroo sighting investigation request. This will lead you to a gift bag that will give you cherries and 3 random christmas items when you break open the gift bag. It seems like I get the investigation request every 2-4 game days. Also as Bilgot has already told you, some items can be made for you by Nick, when you bring him the required supplies.

catch kangaroos with hats on send them off get cherrys theres trees with pine cones you need the pine cones for stuff if you cant make cloth you're gonna need to get where you can cloth is neaded so is sugar for some of his stuff
