Complaints are mostly by people who didnt read the store page and the comments and seem to think this is a MP-Focus game - which it isnt because games like this never are.
Its still fun in MP aswell but if you want MP-Coop 100% you probably are looking for something else.
Since money can be shared between players you can just choose who to host the game and focus on that save like I did with my partner and we are having a blast
Currently, I'm helping my friend repair some specialty equipment strewn across the map.
That said: The game does have bugs. Over time the villagers will not function quite right, and/or animals/bugs will be super rare. A simple restart of the game fixes these though.
Neverthless I understand the appeal for people knowing animal crossing anyway. However, I also don't think that audience is that big here on PC and it would have been amazing with a proper multiplayer.
I'd suggest if you need those changes to buy, that you wishlist the game and check back in periodically to see if the features you're looking for have been added. They're definitely planned.
I don think that this is that type of game. That would just cut content in half or worse. Its multiplayer is more similar to other farming-sims for obvious reasons.
There are far better games for MP coop - i think if MP is fored to much it would actually ruin this game.
