Amber Chunk

It seems u dont need to go down into the deep mine to find valuable items. Today i dug up a Amber Chunk worth 61k, not sure if this is the typical value of a Amber chunk as its the first time i have came across one. does anybody know a more valuable single item found outside the mine ?

You can dig up amber all over. You can also find cassowary eggs, thunder eggs, and fossils. Their value is based on their weight.

With the thunder eggs, there are four opal inside, worth a total of 60k. Weigh the egg first and sell if it's valued higher than 60k. If not, just break it open and sell the opals.

Fossils can be found by digging. I've found them in the walls of the mine and just in dirt in town.

If you want iron in any quantity, you're going to need to go back into the mines. It's not bad once you get used to it. Get yourself the candle hat and an upgraded weapon. Once you get the jackhammer you can just mow through the mines like it's butter. You can also easily make 100K+ a trip down there, and there's really good stuff you can only get from the dungeons. Like the guitar, which lets you 'pet' all of your animals at once.

Ruby Amber etc are called fossils in the game, there is a photo quest asking for photos of fossils, i originally thought the quest asks for actual fossils, now i realise why i couldnt do that quest

The fossil is the round nautilus looking thing.

I just dunno i hate the mines, so far only bronze spear -- I really dislike the fighting - its very aggressive in this game.. I paid 25 k the last time, and after eating crock meat, etc still died or made it out, making less than the 25 k it cost me to go down there.. - I restarted the day and never went back

Same, in all my time so far (37 hours), I've never even seen one of those eggs. The nests are always empty.

Honestly, you should be able to basically outrun everything down there. Once you get a jackhammer, it's infinitely easier and faster to get tons of ore and find some rubies or other gems to sell for a lot of money.

Thunder eggs are not found in the bird nests, they are different from the cassowary eggs. Those eggs are big and green. Thunder eggs are tan, and have little lightning sparks coming off them.

Thunder eggs happen during summer thunderstorms (not just rain storms) when lightning hits the ground. An egg will form there.

Honestly, this is what I do. I don't bother fighting anything, I just keep running past them. I've seen you can make some really good money trapping the glowing crocs, but I haven't bothered yet.

Honestly, this is what I do. I don't bother fighting anything, I just keep running past them. I've seen you can make some really good money trapping the glowing crocs, but I haven't bothered yet.

When i get the jackhammer i'll try it. Maybe lol - Franklin just moved in.. I managed to get 4 quarries, to help me with mining.

I usually found amber digging at the beach and fossiles mining stone.
Thunder eggs can be heard for their buzzing, electrical sound.

If you need money just search tresaruses near water. I do it every evening after all is done and get about 150 000 to 300 000 every morning when i sell the stuff.
