curious...do you try to look for thunder eggs when it storms?

I'm curious if anyone bothers to go around looking for thunder eggs

personally, I haven't bothered scouring the giant island and ocean for thunder eggs when it storms...from what I know it can pretty much spawn anywhere...so it feels like a hit or miss trying to find one. I just go about doing my usual, and have been lucky enough to have a couple of lightning strikes occur right in front of me, one of them being right in my farm XD

I always find them near my location. Just listen for the lightning strike then check the near by area. When in my house and a strike happens, it had spawned them right next to my house.

I was building a new ranch one day during a storm and suddenly a Thunderegg appears behind me!

I kept it in my House, i love the bzz bzz Sound.

i'm in my second summer and still haven't had a storm, so haven't had the chance to go looking but i will when i get my first storm.

I was merely planting grass in front of johns shop when a thunder egg literally landed on me, it electrocuted me then set me on fire ...to add insult to my injuries..good thing the river was close by

Not too long ago, I looked at the code to learn more about thunder storms/eggs. Whenever a thunder egg spawns, it will always spawn near a random player. I think within 15 tiles, if I remember correctly. You don't need to hunt for them, especially if playing solo.

I have never had a thunder storm either and I am also on my second summer. :(

do you have the iron pickaxe already & need iron for the tools & have ordered already some of the elaborate things from Franklyn ? mined already some opals ? cause that triggeres your need for thunder eggs at all. it helps also to have a million in the bank, & to have used the rainy days for your economic purposes. if you are not as far in the game, then thunder eggs are rather extremely seldom up to impossible. do everything what i described & you'll get your thunder egg.
