Coop with friends

Has anyone figure out a way to choose who you coop with? Or are we forever doomed to play with rando's?

This would make the game an instabuy for my clan - we have MANY members and love to co-op.
For instance - Insurgency Sandstorm - we host 17 co-op servers.

We are all about playing with our friends. So PLEASE incorporate this.

Pretty sure those aren't even players but the CPU controlling clones, like in WotS4.

Edit: Oh, you can specifically set whether you want to play with ghosts or real people, that's outstandingly neat.

No set option to, only encounter random people. I had 3 people go pvp and one go pve with me when I encountered them.

I am only just realising I cannot play with my friends after, really pushing the game to them. this is a picard-level face-palm. put it in so that you can join a friend through steam, or watch your quality, hopefull young game, wither on the vine.

I was able to coop with my friend by timing it so we entered the dungeon at the exact same time while in online mode. Then through chance, we would eventually meet up and be able to play together. You can also bring them to the next floors with you until you hit some event level.

Anyone with Japanese physical/retail version can connect online to use the co-op?

After unlocking the online functionality in game, I set everything to "on".
But sadly nothing happens when iam in the dungeon.

Also I can see the wanted top 100 and when I check my status it shows "out of service area"
For me it seems there is connection but it's somehow blocked to use co-op outside Japan?
Also I got a tons of network errors and network warnings in the connection log.
The network icon is sometimes blinking but just for a short time. (load new floor, go near the tree)

ignore the network error, it's region based only (asian, EU, NA) sometimes you can connect if there are players from the same region but since this is a niche game, it's hard to find players online

Also if you checked out of service in wanted lvl it means you're not yet killing players / ghost NPC

I tried this on first coopable dungeon third night and we never found each other.

I think I managed to connect to my friend realiably now, make sure both players enter the same stage one after the other right away, not at the same time. Once you connect to the other player you can clear all levels with him without disconnecting just make sure both are very close to the next stage portal/well and both press A when getting to the other level.
