How to see others' solutions?

Starting on a new level, how can you see others' solutions?

Once you complete a level, it should show three example solutions on the left.

To view more gallery solutions, you have two options:

• Beat the level, then click on "View in Gallery" to see more solutions for the level. [Fig. 1] [i.imgur.com]
  
• Go to the main menu. Click on the gallery button. [Fig. 2] [i.imgur.com] Then you can sort the solutions by the level you are playing. [Fig. 3] [i.imgur.com]
  
• If you're playing a level on the workshop, you can look at the preview of the level and then there will be an option to "View in Gallery" [Fig. 4] [i.imgur.com]
  
  If you cannot see any of this or if the gallery is offline, check your internet connection, and check if the version of the game you have is up to date.

so, you can't get solutions if you haven't beaten the level? that's not great, what if you're stuck and need a hint? is there a hint system like in other games?

As I've long completed the game, I never realized that levels you haven't beaten yet don't actually show up as available to view in the gallery. That sucks... I guess the devs' intent was to prevent people from accidentally getting the solution spoiled by opening up the gallery.

The hint system (or some form of ability to hold the player's hand in the beginning few levels) is a really good idea, and has been suggested several times in the past to the devs. Neither are an official thing though, unfortunately. Only two dinky tutorials.

The best alternatives I can give you for now are:

• You can join the Poly Bridge Discord server, where people can give you hints and tips on how to beat a certain level. (An invite link is embedded in the main menu of the game.)
  
• Uploaded walkthroughs, which more or less provide you a working solution for said level. (I believe several people have uploaded complete walkthroughs of the game online on YouTube.)

The gallery doesn't hide anything based on whether a level is completed or not.

We only automatically show you alternate solutions on the level complete screen. But you can visit the gallery anytime and view solutions for whatever level you are interested in.
