Level 2-13: String Theory Help

I'm not seeing the trick to solving 2-13, anyone have any tips? I would prefer to get a key hint rather than a full solution, but if you can't be bothered that's fine too.

There are two ways to distribute load: It can drive things together (compression) or it can drive things apart (tension). Cable is a very strong material, but it offers no resistance to compression. How can you re-engineer your bridge, so the vehicle causes mostly tension?

There is a really inefficient way, make a bridge, have triangles in the centre, then have two steel "towers" on either side which use cable to hold up the rest.

For the "better" solution, the cables actually go BELOW the bridge, and there are two ways to make the "cable below the bridge" solution work. One is an inverted arch (easy), the other is.... really difficult to make work.
