Poly Bridge 2

Poly Bridge 2

Statistiche:
Cheaters
Was interested, thinking the Devs would fix the $0 budget runs, or general cheating and unrealistic bugets. They haven't. Won't purchase till leader boards are fair. When people need to cheat to win, the game loses all value.

I just noticed people started beating the first level without even building a bridge. It involves a chunk of road falling on the car and flinging it to the other side, now that's quite crazy and involves probably hours of trial and error to get it right, I still don't mind it though.
this erors need to be fixed true onrealistic
All these responses seem to just be people using exploits. Sad

I do not like when player use falling road I try doing that and the car just go backward some how there computer run the colulaion the car go flying to the other side
how the ♥♥♥♥ did you see the leaderboards without buying the game?
not to be rude im just wondering lol

are those damn solutions that are just road acting like indestructable rope cheating?
Generally it's not a cheat, if you make a 'catenary curve' shaped bridge you can get very good load distribution, for short bridges with relatively small loads it can work well and is physically correct, but it only can work on a limited number of levels in the game.
someone would probably do a "dangling road only" challenge lol

@Dry Cactus
I'm kind of curious how stuff like this gets through server side resimulation:

I try building exactly the same thing but it just immediately collapses, so I know there's some sort of shenanigans going on. Not that I really care about "beating" other people. But the gallery is so full of stuff like this that it makes finding actual clever solutions rather difficult. Perhaps the monitoring/resimulation just isn't going on anymore?

We don't resimulate for gallery submissions, but we have manually removed gallery items in the past.

We use resimulation for leaderboards, but we still do a manual removal. This is because the resimulation can produce false positives due to floating point differences between CPU architecutures.

So the automatic resimulation works as a first-pass filter that identifies potential cheaters on the leaderboard. Then we manually remove if we verify the solution is indeed cheated.
Have a latest cost limit will eliminate Jacky solutions
First lvl's bridge is 10m long, so building only the necessary road (not reinforced) will be 10x200$. The galery has 22 pages of succesful solutions <2K$

Imagine being triggered by how someone else plays a SINGLE player game. Good grief...
lol yes

exactly, they are exploiting the bug
To the Devs. I think he means the one guy that drops what looks like a single extended road from 1" in midair that only costs like 6000.

Or the guys that Airdrop a chunk of road from 2000m to smack the vehicle into launching into the air.

I think you guys need to put an invisible hitbox above the vehicle start that doesn't allow falling road bits to pass.

I myself only have 1 gripe personally, and its why horizontal beams aren't part of construction.

I could care less about the cheating of broken game mechanics as mentioned above, those kind of players are just cheating themselves.

They are learning nothing about balance and weight distribution, or any engineering challenge.

I guess I just preferred games like Pontifex or Bridge builder, visually they're dated, but superior in realistic engineering simulation.

I do understand the point, that people are kind of cheating by exploiting bugs, but this is largely due to the community trying every possible way to find strategies that break the game simulation. The leaderboard scores are, for the most part, done legitimately (only a handful have actually cheated by manipulating game files, and they have already been leaderboard banned) and if you don't like these strats, there's the unbreaking leaderboard for those who want an actual solution that isn't haha car go wheee
