Save data disappeared -> HELP

help! My save data is gone for some reason, when I start the game and go to play, it's like I never played before, the save slots are empty. Does anyone know what I can do to try to uninstall/reinstall to get it back?

Unfortunately, there are no Cloud Save backups for Garden Story. This happened to me as well due to an unrelated issue. From that point on I have always kept a manual backup of every game (including those with Cloud Save support) for this exact scenario.

You can try looking in:
Windows (C:) > Users > (User) > AppData > Local > Garden_Story__for_Blue_Build_
But this will likely not help unless you have moved some folders around yourself. However, if you do have a save file backed up, you can move it here. (Make sure the folder is named Save1, Save2, etc.)

Sorry for the loss of time, but if you learn from it then at least you gained something.

Thanks I guess I’ll just have to restart and speedrun or something

Is this save breaking bug still an issue, or has it been fixed?
