Question in regards to the new Leviathan Mode

Big fan of the game, played the hell out of it, all dlcs etc etc etc. But am I doing the new mode wrong? i can't seem to get past level 9 and all the upgrades are basically ''must reach level 10 to unlock.'' But at level 10 it just throws a dozen of the big guys at you, and half the time there are no health crystals left, I don't have the upgrade to slash them to get health, and generally I dont have dash either. Am I missing something? I understand its a roguelite game and all but this seems a bit ridiculous. I easily clear top 100 leaderboards on all levels on the first 3 difficulties but cant seem to beat level 10. suggestions?

Just farm up the Ultimate of your Terminus and keep it your pocket until the 10th wave. On it, you can just slice through all of them with it (or at least the majority and finish the remaining with whatever else you have on you)

i think there are only two random final rounds, a horde of tiny eyeless that only do melee damage and the behemoth horde. dashing and slaughter are obtainable in the first few runs from the alter, getting them three times unlocks them as permanent upgrades.
dashing being 40 echos and slaughter being 150. but dashing makes the game 100% easier.
cant remember a time where a behemoth had the ability to hit me when i used the dash correctly. but sadly i never experienced this issue as i got to round 14 on the first run because of luck i guess. and after wards got the leviathan experience of no dash for 6 runs.

Got to round 17, I guess I was constantly getting bad rolls my first several times. I did about 8 runs and only got the dash and slaughter option twice the entire time. thanks for the help yall

L10 can be cakewalk if you save Paz and just use your Ultimate on all the big guys and blow em up with some other ranged weapon. Or even just a chaos crystal if you don't have a weapon.

Bro, i'm having difficulties at effin 5th wave, where just a bunch of specials spawn like green Stalker, those pesky flies that give you slowness, and some other abominable shiz. All that spawns within 3 seconds of wave 5, and only when i realise what happened, am dead.

The green flies are my biggest gripe. Take the boon that makes you immune to slows, any ranged weapon, Paz's petrify works against green stalkers, there are tools to deal with the early waves but it's TOUGH for sure till you get a few permanent upgrades. Wait for the flies to shoot 3x then attack em with the sword when they land to rest, etc

yeah, very annoying how you have to start by grinding for the dash and slaughter starter perks
