Leviathan new "Lost Weapons"

The new variation of Persephone in Leviathan seems to make it actually worth using unlike it's variation in the main game, but is it limited to the new mode? -I guess it was obvious to the devs that the change was needed as no other weapon had such a massive rework in the Leviathan (afaik)-, so would really be nice to at least have an option to use in the Hells

Edit: Apparently, regular Persephone is also present in Leviathan and I was talking about some sort of a "empowered" variation of it (it had 2 shots in the mag, could be fired twice in a row and then reloaded quickly - same as Vulcan pretty much). Not sure if other weapons have such upgrades. However, I still find the regular Persephone heavily lacking in the main game and having access to this version would make it something worth a try

Edit #2: So alternative versions of weapons are known as "Lost" and sometimes appear as a choice. So far have only played with such Persephone and Vulcan. Both play really different to their originals with Vulcan even belogning to a different type (Precise) and being a mid range multi-shot weapon... Like, that is HUGE?! We have a whole new set of weapons that are not mentioned in any promotional material? What is happening here? I'd love to be able to unlock those for the main game

Edit #3: Found another version of Persephone, this time it is a Blade Weapon that has 4 shots that scatter Hellcrows... Are those things randomised or preset?

Edit #4: Found the Blade Lost Persephone again, so they are preset, not randomised. Honestly, I've played a lot and only got them 4 times so far, so it seems they are extremely rare

They are pretty rare, so I only saw 3 through all my runs so far. No clue how many there are even and I can't find any info on them online

I got the upgraded shotgun in my winning run - that thing was INSANE with ghost rounds.

I think getting to the final boss stage will give you one (caveat, only got wave 30 twice, but both coughed up a lost weapon)
Got the crow shotgun as above, and pistols that fired weaker vulcan shots, had a starting mag size of 4.

If you look closely at the trailer for the update you can see the Lost Hounds exploding like the Vulcan shot. It was also a cool way to hint at what the boss was, too.

Lost Persephone [Blade] is bloody cool. Who doesn't want a shotgun that fires bladed bird boomerangs that come back to you?
