Opinion on Telos?
Although im having a blast with the new stuff i can't help but feel that Telos is a bit underpowerd, leaving aside the fact that it's probably the hardest weapon to master (wich is totaly fine), i think it's just too hard to land the hits, hith Vulcano for example this is not a problem because it explodes, but with Telos you kinda have to be still in order to land your shots, and in this game where everything is quite fast i think it's not balanced.

wdyt? am i just completely wrong?

So, like you said, this will by far be the hardest weapon to master that being said it does massive damage especially if you can get a charge shot and a headshot.

You can also pick up arrows and not have to reload so it’s definitely a high skill cap weapon.
Personally, I don't care for it. A charge bow doesn't make as much sense for a game as fast and (potentially) chaotic as this one.

As much fun as the Red Right Hand is to use, it's overpowered and I can understand the devs not wanting a repeat of that. But at this point, I don't ever see myself using it by choice. Just about every other weapon is more practical, offering better performance with a lot less effort.

i get the thing about the headshots, but i kinda strugle even for bodyshots and im not bad at aiming. I definitely see its potencial but do you realy think it can hold up comared to the other weapons?

I mean each weapon kinda does its own thing.

And you can spam it pretty good especially if you pick up more arrows.
Telos is trash.Good for 1 or 2 times where u need to fight a boss or something with beefy hp.In a game where u are fighting with hordes of enemies most of the time its kinda underwhelming. Definitely needs something.
I've been maining it in Leviathan, are you guys not charging it fully? Does 5k dmg on a headshot off the bat, the thing's broken OP when you get a handle on the pull-charge-release rhythm. Especially if you get a boon that slows mobs, either on the Telos itself, from crystal explosions, from dead enemy explosions, etc., it becomes trivial to hit headshots.

Extremely powerful if you can go for the headshots with relatively high precentage of success. On Archdevil all high prority, but large HP pool targets can be killed in a few well placed shots which makes it great in combination with Vulcan which is perfect for clearing trash mobs

I am only now realizing how much of a sweat I must be. To me it's my favorite weapon by far, both because of how incredibly powerful it feels but also because having the option to choose between 1/2/4 beat charge depending on the situation is really fun and breaks the repetitive nature that all the other weapons end up falling into. But yeah echoing what DOFR said, to me when its combined with the Vulcan it feels like the most powerful set in the game rn.

alright now i've played a little more with it and im saaarting to get the hang of it, just one thing: how the ♥♥♥♥ do you deal with a shield cambion with Telos? Once in Leviathan i spent a minute and a half triying to kill a single one of those...

There are 3 options that I use, all of them at full charge:
1. Jump over them and go for the head while above
2. Shoot the arm when they are firing at you
3. Just go for the body shot when they are tossing their bomb at you
Options 2 and 3 are safer and benefit from you keeping your distance, since your damage will increase when you are really far away - making a few full charge body shots enough (3 on Archdevil I think, but not sure)

really fun compared to the other dlc weapon. actually feels unique, and its got a fun skill cap. feels deserved when its powerful. getting to use a massive variety of weapons in leviathan is sweet.

Oh yeah no, I either swap to my vulcan and just shoot the floor right behind him or I chain-dash around him while hes trying to fire at me and shoot him when hes still stuck in his "turn around" animation.
Great to hear youre starting to get a feel for it :squirtyay:

my biggest gripe with telos is that it losess the power of its charge after the next beat so if i start charging it and then hold to keep the power buff i lose the power buff on the next beat,
not to mention the really small hitbox, so yu have to be aiming at the enemy while you charge and stand stilll so you can shoot immediately on nexgt beat regardless if theres sssosmething in front of you or otherwise.

I find Telos pretty useful for quickly building up my hits and giving me the little bonuses from it, plus its ultimate is able to be fully charged very quickly and will stun enemies for quite a while.
Primitive Dec 23, 2023 @ 7:44pm
Telos is probably the best weapon aside from the Vulcan once you learn it. I definitely found it awkward initially but once I realized you should generally spam no-charge headshots and used the charged shots for tankier enemies, it became one of my favorite weapons in the game.
