Sweet game, one little issue

I had a blast playing the demo. The rhythm/FPS mashup works very well here. The only thing I had an issue with is that the main character's voice seriously conflicts with the overall tone. He sounds like some older guy on a ranch talking yet it's a towering demon in the middle of a metal concert of death. At least add some kind of demon filter to his voice or something. It's quite jarring.

The main character is female (the woman he refers to) and is otherwise mute.

I had the same thoughts. I wish they'd just put a filter over it. A bit tired of Troys "slightly deeper" voice.

It's the skull that's talking, but yeah voice work is a little wonky on this game.

The boss's lines are so cheesy its almost comical

They paid a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of money for Troy and dammit, they want you to hear that they paid a lot for him.

Shame they didn't make better use of his range, instead he's literally just MGSV Ocelot again

Idk. Sounds fine to me. Really sounds like hating that voice is just an edgy teenager thing. It blends just fine.

I agree. The voice, the music and the visual aesthetic are 3 different art styles that don't mix the best. Now I understand why the creative director of Doom Eternal talks so much about "having a consistent feel".

its not something i really mind at all. an option to turn narration off would be good tho. i find he talks over the beat too much making it hard to hear the rhythm which... ya know... obviously ain't good when youre tryna kill demons to the beat

I kinda like the contrast between the "edgy" over the top demonic themes and the narrator's super chill voice, reminds me of Brütal Legend quite a bit
