How to beat cobalt caverns stage 5?

I've been stuck on this stage for well over an hour now and it's the only one to give me any trouble. All other stages only took me 1 or 2 tries but this one has probably taken at least a hundred and I still can't beat it. I've tried using the six main characters and all sorts of strategies but no matter what I try I just can't consistently stay on the thin green paths. It feels like complete random whether or not I fall off or stay on.

This one is actually one of the easiest. Select a character with decent speed and jump height and just rush it. Don't bother following the swirly path, just jump right before you are forced to move right/left and continue jumping until you make it to the other side. The key is to remain in one linear path
