What kind of Multiplayer does this game have? Local Co-Op?

Btw i've just seen the switch trailer for this game and it apparently has local coop modes. But i really would love to run against players in splitscreen.

There's 10 local versus minigames for 1-4 players. One of them is a very short shmup that could be taken to be kind of pseudo co-op, but that's it in terms of multiplayer.

The mini-games are complete garbage compared to the ones in the Gamecube games. Shame they cant bring THOSE games to PC instead of this trash.
