So about the Big Spender achievement

Thats the only achievement left for me and i want to be sure about how to obtain it. The guide says you have to get the crow's gold 9 times and complete the game each time, and then, on the 10th attempt, get the gold again, but instead of completing the game, go back to Bargainburg and talk to the merchant. Is this correct? I dont want the last achievement to get bugged by doing some step wrong like completing the game more times than i should or talk to the merchant too soon or something. Can someone confirm this? Thanks in advance!

yes, if you give 10 gold rings to the merchant, the achievement will be unlocked (have to exit the game for the achievement to show up once you've done it). you won't talk to the merchant too soon as long as you don't jump on the table area where he is. in my playthrough, i accidentally beat the game an extra time, giving the merchant 11 gold rings. i watched a streamer do it with 10 though, and it worked. as a side note, it's not 100% known if you have to beat the game for the gold ring to stay in your inventory. it might be possible to save and quit after getting the ring and start a new game after. (since the crown + shoes stay in your inventory after saving and quitting, the gold ring might as well, but i haven't tested it). anyway, giving the merchant 10 gold rings should give the achievement. good luck!
