I can't find where to save my game

there is no button in the mission select or the start menu

On the world map menu is a point "DATA".
There you can load/save your game.
You can also bring it up during stages by opening the option menu.

Unless you are playing the demo, you cant save there because it just gives you 3 battles from different points in the storyline. Would make no sense to save there.
