Chapter 10 Langrisser 2
What choice should I make to avoid sealing other routes off?

Ending the war is the most important

Or

Compassion is the most important

In my game it didn't matter. What changes your route later is picking what to do after a pivotal battle. What mattered before is having no blood on your hands.

Actually this decision is really important if you want to trigger "Route E".
Which is the perfect "Light" route in which the most people survive.

To trigger it you need to: dont beat Laird in chapter 2, dont kill Morgan in chapter 4 and let him escape, dont beat Zolm in chapter 5, in chapter 7 refuse Leons proposal, after stage 10 choose "Compassion is the most important" and then in chapter 11 grab Langrisser with Elwin and DONT fight Leon or Laird.

This will lead then to Route E "True Light".
Which is the only route in which the majority of characters survive and turn "good", including Rougha, Sonya, Leon, Laird, Imelda and Egbert.

That route was introduced with the Sega Saturn version of "Der Langrisser" ,the "Dramatic Edition" in 1998 and was not present in the SNES version.

I'd like to thankyou for all the help I've noticed you giving over the past few weeks. It is appreciated.

Hi Ogami,
"This will lead then to Route E "True Light".
Which is the only route in which the majority of characters survive and turn "good", including"

Will this allow us to use these characters like Sonya, Laird, Imelda and Egbert?

Or is there any route that will enable us to use special characters?

They dont join your team, no. Its pretty much the same team as on the other Light routes.
But they will often join as allied AI units during battles and you have to protect them or clear the way for them to reach a certain spot.

If you want to play as those characters, Leon, Egbert, Imelda, Vargas, Rougha and Sonya can be played on the Imperial route when you join the Empire after stage 7.
Rougha and Sonya also join on the Chaos route and the Independent route.

You must grabbed Langrisser with Elwin before turn 10 (Jessica showed up) to access Route E. I've already tested 3 times this chapter.

If you want to go E Route it shouldn't matter which character (Elwin, Riana or Cherie) takes the Langrisser. I used Cherie because of her high mobility (Dragon Lord/Master) and still ended up on E Route. The Important thing is that all the pre-conditions (not killing certain imperials in previous scenarios) are met and you don't kill Leon and/or Laird.

I can reconfirm what team.malice pointed out. I used Cherie as well and wound up on Route E accidentally.
