Can someone confirm if they have some of the secret maps from the original Lang 2?

This remake of Langrisser 2 is based on the SNES and later Sega Saturn/PsOne remake " Der Langrisser".
"Der Langrisser" did not have that secret Aniki temple level. But on the flip side you get all the extra route splits and new endings and such from that game, like joining the Empire or going Independant.
This version of Langrisser 2 has over 60 different stages in 8 routes.

They also did the same for Langrisser 1 with this remake which jumped from its original 20 linear stages to 10+ different routes with 60+ stages overall.

I am pretty sure you could access the Cho Aniki stage in Der Langrisser, via cheat code. I vaguely remember going there and trying to beat up the locals.

I stand corrected, thanks. But i wonder if it still shows up here since the game is no longer developed/published by MASAYA and the reason the Aniki got into the older games was that they also made the Cho Aniki games where they originated from.

Cant test it myself, still playing Langrisser 1. Only 2 routes finished so far, will be quiet some time before i come around to Langrisser 2.

According to Forlorn, these are the directions for getting into the Muscle Shrine:

"In Scenario 6, place Erwin at the upper left corner of the map on the spot where the wall juts in a little bit more and kill all enemies. You will be given the option to investigate the Muscular Shrine. Say yes to access the secret level. Erwin should say something about finding a switch, or a button if you're standing in the correct place. It's been years since I last played this."



Further, on the Gamefaqs page there are more secrets.

Secret Level 2 & 3:
On Scenario 8, place Elwin at the bottom right corner of the map where there is a small pool with a stick sticking out of it and kill all enemies. Depending on whether you're in the Light or Imperial path, you'll go to either Secret Scenario 2 or 3

I can assure you there is a secret aniki level in der langrisser. I cleared it before, you can even get aniki's dumbell for a special aniki summon that was very strong. Its a tough fight though espeically if you want the dumbell which required beating it in a certain time limit. I don't know if the stage is in the remake though. I "still" haven't had time to play l1 much less get to 2 but I sure hope it is. I loved all the summons from der langrisser.

Snoop around a little and yea this game pretty much got everything from the old series! a perfect remaster I must say (only difference is hidden treasure give different things).

as for the entrance to the temple muscle:

place anyone at front of broken statue text and secret entrance will open

There are sprites for the Aniki characters in the art book, so the secret is still in the game.

Yeh the secret level is there its abit different in how you get to it now, and the tiles related to secret levels do not appear to have the sparkle spots on the maps to show you where to trigger them. Anyone know what tile is for the secret level in Langrisser 2 Chapter 8 Bridge in the Sky?

I wonder if secret levels 3 and 4 are in, iirc secret level 4 was triggered by have less than a certain total number of turns across all the maps.

Heads up on the secret path. When you check the story path from the map screen you can see that there is an alternative scenario.
