Route G.
yeah i thought it was independent route like Elwin but it end up with genocide saw their happy face at the Ending just lol
really they both should soaked with blood in that picture
The second game always had a bunch of routes but they added even more this time.
If you look at the achievements Langrisser 1 has 8 endings in this game, Langrisser 2 has 13.
I suspect we will get at least one route where Elwin will marry Cherry at least.
Which i approve of.
Well, in the original game Liana was the only romance option in Langrisser 2.
If they do it like Langrisser 1 did it in this remake, you have to play the other routes to see different romance outcomes.
I "think" there was no option to confess even to Liana in the pre-remake versions.
It could be remake only.
I got a scene where Cherie confesses her love but seems to be automatically turned down by Elwin. :(
Maybe it only happens in certain route/s...or one needs to use specific choices during the game that open her as a LI.
That scene was definitely in the Sega Saturn/PsOne version of "Der Langrisser".
Cherie confessing on the ship before landing in Velseria and Elwin turning her down.
The LIGHT route always ended with Elwin/Liana as the only romance option.
Also, I don't mind being spoiled (when I found out Ledin marries Jessica in route h, I tried searching on Youtube but all I found was a video showing all the endings for Langrisser 1 and one talking about the requirements for each routes).
Was there a chance to confess to Liana in the Saturn/PSX version too?
The option to confess seems to imply that there might be other options. Unless it is being alone...
Liana ends up marrying some rich dude if Elwin does not confess.
If Light route only got Liana as LI then for romance one can only hope for the Empire and Chaos girls like Imelda or Sonya. Since on those routes Liana gives you the middle finger and leaves Elwin. Maybe on Independence too...though the options there are quite limited.
Ok, spoilers for route H:
Its the "Chaos" route but its actually pretty wholesome. Basically Böser kidnaps Chris and invites Ledin alone to Velseria. Ledin complies but is surprised when he discovers that the capital of Velseria is a mix of humans and demons living together without conflict.
Böser explains that while he is the Prince of Darkness, his goal is to create a equal world for humans and demons to live in together without interference by the gods.
He then tells Ledin he and Chris are free to go.
At that moment a human army attacks the town, lead by a Baldean force, Chris is killed trying to protect some demon civilians that try to run away.
Enraged by that Ledin slays the Baldean forces and allies himself with Böser, promising him to help him create this new world.
Next mission you have to fight against Baldea and your old friends, in the battle Ledin has the option to convince Jessica by moving next to her without attacking.
Jessica is astounded that Langrisser is shining brightly, showing that Ledin is doing something the sword approves of and reluctantly offers to join him, under the condition that only he may command her, not Böser.
Anyway a few missions later, Böser gets assassinated during an attack and Ledin takes up the name of Böser and his mask, promising to fulfill his dream.
The final battle is a big defensive one at the gates of Velseria against the Baldean/Dalsis army and the rest of your old comrades.
After you win the epilogue states that Ledin united the continent and after some time people started to accept living together with demons and monsters without fear.
Jessica married him and became his queen, always supporting him.
Many years later, the world now in peace and harmony, Ledin steps down from the role as Böser and appoints a successor. Together with Jessica he wanders the world for the rest of their lifes. .
I actually REALLY liked this ending, and it felt much more hopeful then the INDEPENDENT route which was just mindless genocidal slaughter.
Yes, was there. You could do it or not. Since it was the Japanese Saturn version i played i could not really read what happened during the ending scroll though.
