Keyboard Controls

Controls for keyboard are the following:

Z = A button
X = B button
C = X button
V = Y button
A and S = LB and RB
D and F = LT and RT
Q and W = L3 and R3
Enter is Start
Arrow keys are Directional buttons

There's no button that takes you to the system menu when you're on the overland map in Langrisser 1. I'm referring to the control pad as well as the keyboard.

Hi, anyone playing on laptop/notebook and can't get the directional keys/Enter/Escape to work? I can use the XC key to Confirm/Cancel, but everything else don't. I have verified integrity of files, rebooted, and even changed the keys on the input configuration to something else but the XC keys persist as Confirm/Cancel. I even tried on the on-screen keyboard and the keys remained unresponsive even with mouse clicks except XC.

Arrows buttons seems to not work for some people. Which means it's unplayable if you don't have a gamepad. But even if you have gamepad there is some issues.
It is also ridiculous how there is actually mobile game of Langrisser series with touch control, but this game can't support mouse, don't support keyboard properly and have issues with gamepads too.

I read the reviews and couldn't believe it, no keyboard & mouse control, only partial controller support (if any) and i said to myself, how are you supposed to play this game then? With your mind?
But it seems to be true, yet another shoddy japanese game port to PC.
That price tag. Impertinence!

Then again, you can play these games with an emulator just fine. Or so i've heard ;)

There's keyboard and controller support. No mouse. The keybindings cannot be customized edit: Just saw the "cfgtool.bat" in the Steam\steamapps\common\Langrisser I & II folder regarding adjusting keybindings.

resumed: The UI does not display the keybinding required to perform the action. Everything in the game can be manipulated with the controller / gamepad, but the UI displays Windows controller buttons.

If you're using a Switch, Playstation, or other non-Windows controller, you cannot adjust the UI to display your respective controller's interface (e.g. if the game says LB, you can't make that say L1 or L. You may also experience some out-of-the-box issues with some gamepads depending if you have your Steam's controller / gamepad settings setup.

Keyboard don't work for anybody, multiple people reported that only two buttons on they keyboards even do anything, for some it's 4: Z X C V, rest simple do not work.

Gamepads don't work properly without going into Big Picture mode (which is used much less that you think outside of USA and UK) and changing configuration specifically for this game.
This seems to be main reason for refunds, as far as I believe.

Graphics seems mostly to be from mobile version, control suffering, some reports of crashes. I call it a hack job.

My keyboard doesn't work at all. The arrows keys don't work. Z is not A button, C is A. X is still B.
My controller seems to work but mess up the button. X button is A. D-pad doesn't work. I don't know about the other button since I play around with the main menu only.
I'm trying to use the cfgtool to remap and then realize that there isn't "reset default". Ok, I mess up the config. Try re-install but it doesn't reset.
Now, I'm waiting for update, hope you guys fix it soon, or i have to ask for refund although i wait for this game for so long.

Try setting up directional buttons first in Primary column (don't confuse them with similar variables with slightly different name):
PC_PS4_1P_LStick_Horizontal (+)
PC_PS4_1P_LStick_Horizontal (-)
PC_PS4_1P_LStick_Vertical (+)
PC_PS4_1P_LStick_Vertical (-)

Run the game, check if they work.

Then set other buttons:
PC_PS4_1P_Button0 - shows movement range (X)
PC_PS4_1P_Button1 - accept (A)
PC_PS4_1P_Button2 - cancel (B)
PC_PS4_1P_Button3 - remove (Y)
PC_PS4_1P_Button4 - scroll left (LB)
PC_PS4_1P_Button5 - scroll right (RB)
PC_PS4_1P_Button9 - system menu

Change values in Secondary column for PC_PS4_1p to other buttons so that you don't have same button doing different things. You have to run the game through the config each time you want to play otherwise default keybindings will be used (config still remembers actual settings).

There are several sets of buttons in config, PC_PS2_, PC_PS4_, PC_XBOX_ and I don't know how it chooses which set is active. For me PC_PS4_ set works when I change those values.

Horrible controls that need to be patched by someone else (bevause they rarely do) is a given.

The real question is...

Does it start crashing, to the point of booting you out of Windows entierly, after about three hours (yay for Stram refunds being so reliable!) of play?

Although in my 1st try, only the keyboard work. In the 2nd try, both the controller and the keyboard work. But the controller seems to be lag and sometime it doesn't work (something like the controller suddenly disconnect and then reconnect again). Not sure why but at least the keyboard work fine. I still prefer to use the controller.
Still waiting for dev to fix this. Hope there will be a patch soon. :)
