Report a translation problem
• the game calculates how close you are to the correct note each frame while a note is active.
• if you're not playing a note at all, you get a 0 for that frame.
• since short notes have less frames, each 0 is more punishing. missing the first few frames might doom you to a "meh."
I'll add this to the top of the priority list as it seems to be the biggest complaint surrounding gameplay at the moment. Might be simple to make this feel better: we can just check the length of a note and deal with zeroes differently if the note is less than a quarter note.
Making them easier is a double-edge sword, it will make getting an S rank way easier so the "grind" and replayability might lower significantly.
And it's not like it is currently impossible to have an S rank in all songs - for me only Entertainer and Trombone Fuerte left but very close to S rank.
Maybe add an "S+" rank which is like an almost 100% of the song played perfectly after making the short note easier? For those that would love to grind the top ranks that would be a great solution!
