Upgrading totems on workshops

Has anyone found out how to upgrade from the first bamboo totems to the higher ones? Or do I have to demolish and rebuild?

if u did the ritual and unlocked the wooden totem u need to go to that building and infront of the building on the left there is the totem, press e on it and u can switch the totem.

I'm having same issue i press E and nothing

just click and drag new totem onto the existing one

Likewise, pressing E on the totem outside the door of a building just opens the building management screen showing what its requirements are and what it's currently crafting. No spot for totems, and dragging the totem from my inventory to this screen does nothing.

I mangaged to place they clay totem in my first woodworker hut.
but after i unlocked wood totem. the option is gone to upgrade.

could it be due to UI Interface BUG?

ok so after restarting the game, it worked. but it could also been that my huts were on "Standby" dunno, but now it worked

Yeah game restart worked here too, totems have appeared on the right-hand side of the building management screen.

It is possible that you have opened 'Pick production' panel in totem UI?
There is 'back' button there to close it and see totem details.
Do you think this panel should automatically close when player change scheme? I didn't do it because I wanted to let you click through the schemes to verify the production time

haha NO WAY! we missed that XD, i gues were so used to auto functions in other games.
