base station setup?

Hello i have questions about setting up my index base stations. my room is a very limited environment i have a good rectangle next to my bed to play but i also want to sit on and next to my bed at my PC. that would make it like a L shaped play area does the index allow objects in my area like my bed and chair or do i need 3 base stations or 4? i had also recently found out that they do not require direct line of sight which leads me to think i can make a more complicated area? any ideas is welcome thanks in advance!

I have 2 index base stations and they allow for an L shaped set up if placed correctly. I think the base stations only need to be able to see each other to get coverage. I don't think the room set up allows for objects in the middle of the play area and I think it has to be a certain width for the room set up. You can set them up for single position play and skip the room set up. The room set up allows you to define your play space as long as it is wide enough. Hope this helps.
