I am happy. After my death (+++10years) my grandchildren will be able to buy the valve base stations and play with my VR headset (maybe).
Announcement: search for self-assembly valve base station ...
i know about that but the HTC ones suck, they're noticeably louder like.. stupidly louder
ANY#WAYS 2 really awesome sellers on ebay were selling theirs for 170 each with all the mounts and stuff, so I'm soon to be the proud owner of 4 base stations total :ddd
i've been waiting and ugh
found one on ebay for 160 just look up "valve base station 2.0" and it should show up
What size of room are you playing in because 2 base stations is usually all you need unless you need a 3rd for a larger play area or tracking from multiple angles.
literally the minimum that room setup allows for room scale lol, it's a small room yet I used to get so many tracking errors on ONLY my right controller until I got a 3rd base station. It can be argued it was completely unnecessary but man, I had done EVERYTHING to minimize tracking errors yet they still persisted, at least now if I desire to get full body trackers my tracking quality will be superb
with 2 base stations the sensor can struggle thats why i need a 3rd.
Understandable. I'm thinking of getting a third to improve tracking for my Vive Trackers.
are people sure they are louder?
