Anyone know how or where to repair an index controller, or how to get a single controller?

The trigger on my right index controller is broken - it has come unseated & now either does not press in all the way, or gets stuck pressed in. Also has a lot of squeakiness, which I see mentioned a lot.

I opened a ticket with support & as I am out of warranty, I asked about repair services/replacement parts and costs.

Their response:

I'm sorry, but we don't have any replacement parts for the controller available and we're unable to recommend a third party repair service.

If your warranty has expired and you would like to keep using your Index Controller, we encourage you to work with the community as they may have already solved a problem similar to yours. The CAD files were released for the Valve Hardware and so the community may have disassembly instructions as well.

Otherwise, you can purchase a replacement device on the Steam Store page if they're available.

So I asked if I could just purchase a single controller. They said no, but

So, having been directed specifically here twice, I figured I would ask - does anyone know how to repair a loose trigger? Or where I can find only a right controller for sale?

I also have received this same response for the same issue, also out of warranty. I am lucky that they replaced the parts so often and i love the controllers but they dont seem to last.

If you are still looking for a new controller, my left one is having problems. I received a similar response from steam as you. I would be happy to split the cost of new controllers with you getting the right and me the left.
