Valve Index Controllers

Valve Index Controllers

Controllers Drifting While on my HTC Vive Base Stations
I recently got the controllers and instantly went to use them on my already working setup. It works perfectly fine on my vive wands, but the valve index controllers are constantly floating away as if the lighthouse base stations cannot see them. This typicallly happens when they can only be seen by one base station. I get accuracy is off but it should not be floating way from by body a foot away and conatntly messing with my aim in FPS. Alyx is unplayable on the index and I have to use my wands from vive and they work fine!

Had similar issue: described here: https://youtu.be/Dtcg7HKXsfo

It helped much to get the basestations below 5m (like 4.6m) across for the basestations to be able to see the controllers better. But tbh, I still experience drift. Had put one of them up on a construction pole https://imgur.com/f7ZFUFh to be able to move it closer and closer to where there were a better connection. Worked perfectly for a moment, seemed like I had eliminated the major dead zone I had, but then my girlfriend hit the pole, aaaaaand the deadszone was back.
Yeah I've got this issue aswell my old left controller eventually stopped the loss of tracking after a month or so but I had to RMA because of analogue drift. So getting a replacement has fixed one thing but broken another which is kinda even more annoying than joystick drift imo

I did RMA mine too, but the RMA'en controller did it too, so it was my setup which was wrong somehow. Well, I'm still optimistic that the full set will work when I receive it sometime late summer, when it's my turn in line.

I have this issue, I own the knuckles and htc vive wands, base stations 1.0, and experience terrible drift or lag on whatever controller is in my left hand as line of sight to one base station seams to have a chance to glitch out. its not every time, but its often enough to break beatsaber flow.
