Basically 1 year warranty if the problem is valves fault.

so after every 1-3month depending of the usage you are forced into RMA, and after warranty is gone, you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Nice. Let's do that.

From 2021 you don't have two years anymore. It was UE law, not the UK.
And about this six years, after six months you need to prove that the device broke because of valve fault manufacturing or design error.
And prove that in court if valve ignores you.

For me, this is one of the biggest problems with Brexit.

2 year warranty period still applies, as the majority of EU law has been copied into UK law, unless specifically modified or repealed by the withdrawal bill.

What I wrote was the information I get from www.citizensadvice.org.uk when I asked about warranty/guarantee and Brexit.
So you know better than them?

Plus, I'm too old to be "child" ;)
But a little bit of culture is probably too high demands.

After a few months of usage the left controller drifts off randomly or becomes disconnected. The headset is great but don't throw away your old controllers as you may be needing them to play any 2-handed game. I saw a hardware fix with some electronic components but I have not tried that yet.

My left-hand controller shuts down within 1-3 minutes during game-play, even though it appears to be fully charged. Waiting for Valve's support to let me know what can be done about it. Looks to me as if the battery or the battery management system (BMS) has failed and most likely out of warranty :(

My original gear (with the index headset even) still works like a charm. Just those index controllers causing me problems.

WRONG! This is a common misconception.

We cut and pasted all EU law into UK law before we left the EU. No changes have been made to the current legislation so the EU rules still apply and will apply until an amendment is made to the existing law.

The Citizen Advice Bureau are giving you incorrect information if that's your source. Ask the CMA - Competition and Markets Authority. The CAB is an independent non-profit, not a legislative body.

Also, the fault with analogue sticks is well documented. Look at the discussion boards here alone, let alone Reddit, YouTube and other sources. Proving that this is a product fault is easy in this case - the difficulty lies in having the will and money to fight Valve in court.

I know this is an old thread but I have a left controller that has developed stick drift and is still under warranty but valve refuses to replace it because they've rmad controllers for me in the past for stick drift.

They must by law RMA constantly until warranty is done... but warranty apparently is only from original purchase date... for some companies!

If it's still under warranty, (this why i'd never buy valve stuff on my main account, and with my main bank card) and why I advice you use a paypal account... and maybe PO box.. you could have done a chargeback or taken legal action in small claims court.
