DJ Hero Turntable compatibility
Would bloody love to dust my turntable off n' play Spin Rhythm with it! Any plans for supporting it? I can get it working with the buttons, but can't get the game to pick up the wheel for spinning.

I'm going to say it would probably take quite a bit of work, I'm basing this purely off Clone Hero and my own logic here, but getting the spin on the DJ Hero turntable to register in anything other than what it was exclusively designed for is a real pain in the ass

I'd imagine if they really really wanted to they could get Xbox 360 ones working without tooooooo much difficulty but I haven't heard anything about it, I wouldn't be waiting on it personally but I'd definitely be bringing mine out if they did

We've got a DJ Hero PS3 controller w/ wireless adapter in the office that has been manually configured to work. There are some caveats and it wasn't designed for the same kind of spinning so it's not perfect for Spin Rhythm.

Which model do you have? It looks like the Xbox versions report different IDs. We'll see if we can add this support in (might be tricky unless we can get our hands on one)

I made a post about this in the general board just a moment ago, before seeing there was a sub-section for MIDI and Controllers. I was asking/ hoping for support for the xbox360 DJ Hero turntable also. lol As mentioned, it actually will already work except for the platter axis. The reason the platter axis won't work and isn't picked up by the game is actually just because the sensitivity output from the platter is SOOOOO low that windows barely detects it moving at all. This can easily be worked around from what I've seen though, the sensitivity just has to be increased for the platter by about x4000. Literally. I forget the exact number, but I got mine working with the Dolphin Emulator by going into it's axis sensitivity settings inside the .ini file and turning it waaaay up like that. Until Dolphin released an update where it will work by default now. So in theory it shouldn't be too hard for them to add support if enough people ask for it :)
I haven't looked into possibly adjusting controller axis sensitivity for Spin Rhythm in it's settings files. I dunno if that could be possible?

**UPDATE**
I think there's a good chance that once you have saved a local steam controller config file for Spin Rhythm, then you should (in theory) be able to go in and adjust the settings in the .vdf file to get the platter working. I've never edited a steam controller config file internally before, so it would help to have someone with more knowledge of what settings do what. lol but I'm going to try and figure out if there's a way.

I shared config for PS3 edition. Spinning is quite hard, but for playing for fun it's enough good
