Highly recommend you try the Spin Rhythm demo before buying.
This game does feel polished from a visual, and gameplay standpoint. The "Overwhelmingly Positive" overall review score also gauged my interest. However, after trying the demo, the main gimmick of spinning the dial to hit notes doesn't feel nearly as satisfying as I thought it would. I think the main issue is it just feels awkward to control, even if it is an original concept.

Not trying to shame any of you who do like it, but I'm glad I tried the demo before buying to know it just wasn't for me.

I just jumped in not knowing anything other than watching the trailers, and I have to say that this is my favorite rhythm game of all time! I use mouse control if that makes any difference.

Glad you found it fun, I might give the demo another try with mouse controls. If I recall correctly I used a standard controller, so that could have been why it didn't feel that great to play.

Also I do wonder who gave my topic a Jester award.... I don't see anything controversial or polarizing with what I said.

Controller is definitely not as immersive as you're relying on aim assist and parse the movements required in most cases as just left/right rather than feeling the distance needed to move the wheel. But on the other hand it's still fun and just as valid as other control schemes, competitively or not.
If you own a Steam Deck, absolutely do try playing with the trackpads, otherwise just stick to default MKB at the start and play around with the sensitivity until you find it comfortable. I would also mention turntable as my favorite play style but that's obviously an extra investment to make only if you're really enjoying the game in the first place.

Yeah, mouse can really feel like a turntable!
I strongly recommend playing with a DJ controller. So much fun. I use the ION DJ Live.
I use keys to control the spin, but I still use the mouse to move the thingie (don't know how to call it lol). Feels more consistent imo. You could try that.

Also I use left click for the green bar, but that only appears in hard, expert and XD difficulties

It's an actual MIDI DJ turntable. It's supposed to be really fun playing with those, I have yet to buy one though. Been playing this game with M&KB and that's already such a blast, can't imagine how much *more* fun this game would be on turntable

Gotcha
Just use a mouse, this game is terrible on controller, not the devs fault, it just requires precision, especially at higher difficulty and a controller just makes that extra clumsy as you rely on aim assists, Try it again OP, this time with mouse and keyboard before you give it up.
