New Game censored?

I started up the game on the new update (1.25 for people from the future) and all my medals and scores for New Game had been erased, so I replayed it and all the Mario sounds have been replaced with generic 8-bit noises. Why?

In short, Nintendo legal threat (came up with our Switch port) - even though it's not us who made the track, we asked Nitro Fun to whip up a "copyright free" version that would pass Switch lotcheck and he obliged. The sounds changed enough that the level had to slightly change, which meant a leaderboard reset. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Understandable reasoning, but it's absolutely insane to me that Nintendo hasn't seemed to care about this song for 9 years but the moment someone tries to put it on their console they get mad.

It gets worse, it's in other games (Just Shapes & Beats) with no issue. Also Final Boss has samples too, I'm pretty sure 2 Minutes also does, but no flag. It really just depends on who was doing Lotcheck that day and whether they cared enough to flag it.
