Devs? DJ Hero Controller Support? :)
So I dunno how many people have one of these still, but I tried really hard to setup my DJ Hero turntable for Xbox360 to use as a controller for this. Their cheap and would be perfect! Everything will map like a normal xbox controller would through steam, but the big problem is that the platter left/ right movement doesn't seem to register. To be more exact, it registers but has an INSANELY low sensitivity input. So much so you can just barely see the X axis moving inside the controller properties.
I'm fairly certain this could be fixed if you guys added in support for the DJ Hero controller and adjusted the sensitivity to work with it. I went through a similar thing relating to the Dolphin Emulator, and it was updated to recognize the platters axis and function correctly. :)
Is there any chance of seeing support for this controller added in? Is there anybody else out there who would like to see that happen? It certainly beats buying a midi DJ controller to play this with.

We didn't think the 360 one even detected on PC. It should be plug and play (almost) for the PS version (which we have in the office).

Don't worry anyway, it's not a great controller to play Spin with, the wheel is quite heavy and after a spin it has so much momentum that it wobbles under touch. Also the wheel doesn't pick up touch inputs so it's already a compromise.

Yeah it will identify as a 360 controller when you connect it to the wireless receiver, and would work except the platter axis needs a massive sensitivity increase for the game (or any game) to detect it's movement. I for one at least wouldn't mind holding the green button down for "grab" lol I didn't think that the spin move had to have the platter continuously spinning though? With the mouse you just pull it one direction and it executes the spin move.

In any case I'm sure an entry level DJ MIDI controller would be ideal, but the xbox controller would still be a great deal more fun than the mouse, even with it's control/ button setup being somewhat different. :)

Really sad you guys still haven't added in support for the DJ hero controller. I thought after a few updates it would eventually get some love given the wide variety of options people want to play this with. Playing with a mouse etc.. gets boring real quick, and buying real midi dj controller is kinda pricey just to play this. :/ (also in response to above, the green button would work fine for grab and wheel sensitivity could be adjusted to taste in regards to the spin)
To be fair though, it would take an xbox 360 Dj Hero controller and wireless receiver to connect and setup this up. I do realize there probably aren't a lot of people with those still laying around. I'm just a rhythm game nut lol
I guess I'll have to break down and get a midi controller at some point, I bought one previously but since it didn't have touch support on the platter it kinda sucked also so I returned it. If anybody has suggestions for decent midi controllers in the $100 price range, that'd be helpful! :)

it actually works quite terrible with this stylke of gameplay.
keep in m9ind DJ hero's controller didn't actually have you spinning tracks, it has you using the slider and phasser to switch lanes while you sorta fake hit colored buttons onm the turntable, with the " spinning " being limited to poiintless freestyling./

i get that you want to try it out, but i'm telling you for this game, it's crap.
this game demands precision - and Activsion never made quality products.

There are tons of great DJ midi controllers on Amazon for $100 or under. It wasn't that long ago that having to spend $100 to $200 on plastic junk controllers for music and rhythm games was mandatory, and this gives you way more options. You get out what you put in.

Looks like this controller was deprecated, but yeah there are better MIDI controllers out there
