Though if you want a game you can sit down and just enjoy, post scriptum is for you
These are all different games and it depends on what you actually want from the game.
PS is a lot more time consuming and a lot more "tactical" with huge maps, firefights on big distances and requires a lot more coordination within your squad and between others. The only downside is the engine right now looks old.
BTW is EA, but they laid the groundworks perfectly, it is a really fun game (with what they have right now and more to come in the future) if you are looking just to play couple rounds in the evenings, fast paced, close range firefights, get to utilise melee pretty often once you get used to it. sounds and surroundings are beautful also. EU an NA servers are active as well.
Can't recommend HLL, personally could not stand the sound design and movement in there, also it feels very arcadish despite of "hardcore" mechanics.
Lmao, no it doesn't. Half the time the VOIP is down and the game turns into a mess, ruining the entire point of the game.
Kinda funny considering this game is just a WW1 version...
To OP, BTW currently suffers from a lack of players, but BTW is a fine and fun game. that being said, it's not an issue to find a server.
What you should ask yourself is what kind of players you are. Do you want a tactical game which requires to communicate and implies slow periods during which you are only walking to flank an enemy position? With quite a significant learning curve? Go PS.
You want to play just to have fun, while having an immersive experience and an experience more tactical than battlefield? Go BTW.
HLL is also a great option if you want something in between. No communication strictly required, even if it's recommended, it requires a lot of tactics, but is somehow more arcafish than PS. However, HLL gunplay is clunky: ballistic is not great, Hitreg has a lot of issues, penetration system does not work properly, sounds are bad (to bassy and muffled). For some people, it's not an issue, because they are more interested in the tactical aspects of the game. For others, it's just a no go.
You could buy BTW and try it during two hours to make yourself an opinion. It should be enough to have a first impression of the game. However, this would not work with PS and HLL since matches last longer and you will have a bad experience if you jump in a bad squad. PS and HLL require more time to have a proper opinion.
lol
no.
