Lot of people are having this issue. I could play it just fine 2 weeks ago. Upgraded to a new motherboard with the i7-11700k processor and now I can't launch it anymore.

Same issue here, I contacted Bandai and I'm still waiting on their answer, but it looks to me that they're just gonna ignore honestly, so yeah.
Riven Aug 2, 2021 @ 11:16am
So yeah, they actually just threw the blame on my GPU, said that it doesn't match the minimum settings required therefore they can't do anything, but in reality they just are clueless and don't know what the real issue is, trash company if I'm being honest.

I had a long back and forth between bandai, who blamed it on windows and windows who blamed it on steam. After over a month of the issue persisting with various windows and gpu driver updates coming out i reached out to bandai again and gave them pictures showing it is a issue with new builds they said they would pass out the info to the dev team. This was a couple days ago

im sure you guys understand your in the minority meaning it is something on your end pc being an open platform and all it could be anything...

ive had issues like that before not with this game though id recommend setting as admin and disabling any 3rd party overlays then trying to start it again also clear any mods you may have out of the files.

also try and install on a different drive some games are weird like that.

Saying something like that isn't really helpful. But why don't you post your specs? I had an i5-8600k with a RTX 2070 Super when the game worked for me. I upgraded to an RTX 3080 Ti and i7-11700k at the same time. The game immediately stopped working where it worked literally a day before the upgrade.

you quote the "unhelpful part" and ignore the helpful part good job.

anyway ive played this game flawlessly on 3 separate systems.

secondary pc 1080ti/7700k fatality motherboard
asus laptop 2080super maxq / 10875h
main pc 3090/5900x asus mother board <-------------------------------------------------------- at one point my 1080ti was in the system with the amd cpu and it still worked fine.

Step 1. Open "Control Panel" by searching for it in Windows search bar, by pressing the Windows button or key.
Step 2. Go to "System & Security"
Step 3. Go to "System"
Step 3. Press "Advanced system settings"
Step 4. Press "Environmental Variables"
Step 5. Create a new "System Variable" (NOT USER VARIABLE)
Step 6. Enter the following into the Variable name box: OPENSSL_ia32cap
Step 7. Enter the following into the Variable value box: ~0x20000000
Step 8. Now press OK.

The problem seems to be an issue with 11th gen Intel CPUs and Unreal Engine. No fault of the user.

It's ridiculous for sure. But it is what it is. These instructions came from developers from another game that users had the same issue with.

Im having this same issue now and yeah you're 100% correct this guy is useless. Claims the issue on the users end and that we are in the minority when literally anyone with an 11th or 12 th gen CPU like myself is having this issue. Clear case of an idiot feeling the need to say something for no reason...then he offers up running as Admin as a "helpful" solution. Wanna remind me to breathe too while you're at it? The nerve of some people man....anyway this issue is still not fixed so just in case someone see's this...understand this is not your fault and it is an issue with 11th and 12th gen intel cpus from what i can gather
