Save Data is gone. Controller/Keyboard no longer works.

So I tried to load into the game today, but I was met with a blue (or pink, colorblind) screen reading: “Unable to find the downloadable content associated with your save data. Your save data will be adjusted to remove content information”. Whatever this is means, it messed up my game. I verified the integrity, still have the same problem. When I load into the game, I am back at the beginning cutscene. That would be all cool and I would have to unlock everything again, but nope. In the tutorial match my keyboard and controller does not work. every button is the quirk button. I literally can not do anything in the game.

I have the same problem. When I played online 2P,I used task manager to stop this game. Next time I opened it, I met this problem

ya i have have the same thing it's not fun and they have put my ticket up to the dev's

they the dev will not tell me anything so thats fun

i think the issue is that we do not have saved data anymore so that mess up the controls.

i think for the game to make new save data you need to do the tutorial match but with the controls messed up you can't do that.

but i don't if that how it works

This sucks. I’ve played the game everyday since release, but not anymore.

i pre order the game played the day it came out and i have not been able to play it for to weeks

If I'm understanding this okay.. some how the game detected a corrupt save file, said it was going to alter it, and everything broke? If that's it, the only thing I can think of is to wipe the save file and let the game make it from scratch:

Right-click on "My Hero Ones Justice 2" in Steam and select "Properties". Click on the "Updates" tab. Uncheck the box under "Steam Cloud". Click "Close". Exit Steam.

Go to "C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment\My Hero Ones Justice 2" and delete the "Saved" folder.

Start up Steam and launch the game and see if it remakes a save and controls work again and everything.

Play for a bit and exit out properly. Don't ever Alt+F4 a game that only has autosave. It should be okay to re-enable Steam Cloud if you wish.

i do have one quick q how do i get the steam to cloud save it because it sill has the old one in it

When doing the fix, yes it fixes movement and everything else, the problem when rechecking the box still occurs. So maybe the steam-cloud file is somehow corrupted. How would that be fixed?

Re-enable steam cloud while the game is running. It should upload the newer save file upon closing the game

Does that mess with ranking while doing so? While doing this should I make a copy of my saved file currently as a just in case?
